Message from the Trainer:-

For the pre-training preparations, please help me check if attendees of the session have a digital library membership or not. Last session, we wasted a lot of time to check their accounts. For those who already have a membership, they will need to know their user name & pass word so that they can use the online databases etc.

If they have forgotten or are not sure if they have a membership, please have students call up 6332 3255 (press option 8 to speak to the customer service officer). My colleagues can verify if they have a membership or not, as well as on the students' usernames if they have forgotten.

For those who have forgotten their password, my colleagues can also reset their passwords for them immediately. For students who do not yet have accounts, it will be useful for them to register for this account. They can do so at http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/index.aspx.

Registration is free for current library members. PRs & Foreigners who do not have a library account with the public libraries will have to subscribe to a public library membership first before picking up their digital library membership. There will be fees involved for this. Membership is free for Singaporeans.

If there are PRs & foreigner students who do not wish to have a public library account, then it will be good to have them pair up with another student who has access to the digital library. Then they can share the access for the purpose of the hands-on session.
